How it got started...

The Machine Wars web comic was not first thing on my priorities list. I had begun work on a RiD online comic, but I only had two people to help me; Kalimol, my colorist from the bwtf boards, and me, who was going to pencil, ink, and write the entire comics. I hadn't gotten too far when I got an email from Kalimol saying he couldn't help anymore, he was too busy. So I went to the 2005 boards in search of a replacement. God Fire Convoy answered my stress call, and wanted to color the comic. he had had Photoshop for only a week, and already he was awesome with it. Then the production ran slowly, and after seeing Dreamwave's Transformers, I looked at mine, and decided to start over. So I got a page done, when I just quit. It sucked pretty bad, ecspecially when it came to the art. Maybe one day I will try again on it, but that would be a while.

I still wanted to do a Transformers fan comic, so I thought: Beast Wars, Beast Machines, maybe even a RiD, so I just decided I'd do a "Transformers Presents" style book, having a different era every few issues. So I went to the allspark, and asked if anyone would wanna help with a Machine Wars comic(the first on my list to do), forgetting to say that it would only be for a few issues. Well, I got lots of responses, of course one being God Fire Convoy, who will be coloring and doing some pencilling in the book. I had a huge crew right there. And God Fire Convoy was bringning in more and more each day! One was Blade Kitsune. He presented me with an idea, but I already had a plot line I wanted to go with, so i declined from it. That started us out on the wrong foot.

I told him the storyline, and a few things I didn't want in there(excess characters, continuity problems, etc.), so he wrote me up a trailer. We got in a big fight over it, mainly because I was being stubborn and wanted him to re-write using the guidelines I sent him. God Fire Convoy basically said, "If he goes, I go." So I went to bed, but couldn't get it out of my mind. So i thought up a compromise: We let him use his original plot, but we stay in my guidelines. We git started, and soon after, I goofed a big one. I assigned two interior pencillers the same pages. I didn't realise my mistake until they both had started. Obsidian had 7 guidelines done, but Misatokitty had two pages pencilled, so I went with him. But since Obsidian was really busy with moving, and hard at work with a cgi Transformers thing, he couldn't do anything save for maybe three pages. So I assigned those pages he would be doing to God Fire Convoy and one to Matt Larson. As of right now, I am close to finishing my pages, where I will work on a flash trailer for the comic. Expect the comic out in June.
